Dr. Jefferson George is a leading orthopedic surgeon and sports injury specialist based in Kerala, India, renowned for his expertise in joint replacement, arthroscopy of knee, foot and ankle surgery, and spine care. A graduate and post graduate of the prestigious Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, he has worked closely with top-tier athletes from the Usha School of Athletics, P.T. Usha, football icon IM Vijayan, and Indian volleyball Arjuna Awardee Tom Joseph. He was the Team Doctor of the Kerala Blasters football team in the 2015 and 2016 seasons when it was owned by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, further establishing his role in elite sports medicine.
He holds fellowships in Joint Replacement Surgery (Sunshine Hospital, Hyderabad, under Dr. Guruva Reddy, Asia’s second largest volume of Joint Replacements a year, Arthroscopy - keyhole surgery - (Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode - Dr. Schiller Jose), and Foot & Ankle Surgery (New York), and is widely recognized for his minimally invasive techniques and holistic patient care.
